Call for applications for admission to the Technical Startup to Virtual Production lab
💻Free TECHNICAL START-UP TO VIRTUAL PRODUCTION WORKSHOP (November 3-7, 2025)
The Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, as part of the Cinecittà Project, referred to in the PNRR Mission: Mission 1 – Digitalization, Innovation, Competitiveness, Culture, and Tourism | funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, with this Call for Applications aims to identify, select, and train students and professionals who can contribute to supporting the evolution of cultural and creative industry professionals, strengthening professional skills and competencies in the audiovisual sector, especially related to fostering technological transition.
The Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia - Scuola Nazionale di Cinema is announcing selections for 6 places in the Technical Start-up to Virtual Production workshop.
The workshop will be held at the CSC headquarters in Rome, Via Tuscolana 1520, and will last a total of 12 months. 40 hours, from November 3 to 7, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
🔎 PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
6-hour theoretical and practical training • From film production to Virtual Reality • Procedures and approach • 34-hour practical laboratory training • Analysis of LED technology used in VR • LED wall assembly with LED modules and related wiring • LED wall mapping using controller hardware and software for 4K LED displays • Unreal Engine and LED wall interfacing • Real-time camera tracking • Creation of a complete Virtual Reality product
At the end of the workshop, students who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of attendance.
