Twinmotion 2025.2: faster and more realism!

If you use Twinmotion to bring your architecture, design, or other projects to life, prepare for a quality leap.
The Twinmotion 2025.2 update has arrived, bringing with it features so powerful they could radically change the way you work.
Say goodbye to frustrating slowdowns and welcome a new level of detail and speed, thanks to the integration of technology taken directly from Unreal Engine 5.

No More Slow Files: Welcome Nanite

One of the main stars of this update is Nanite virtualized geometry.
To put it simply: it's the solution to sluggishness.
Have you ever had a CAD or 3D model so detailed and polygon-heavy that it crashed your computer? With Nanite, that won't be a problem anymore.
This smart system automatically manages and displays only the part of the geometry that is actually visible at the moment.
The result? You can import incredibly complex models (we're talking about several million polygons) while maintaining impressive real-time fluidity.
The benefit for you? Stop wasting time "cleaning up" or optimizing files before importing them.
Focus on design; Twinmotion will handle the performance.

Smart Tricks for Instant Realism

The update introduces new "shortcuts" that add a touch of realism in a lightweight and fast way:

  • Parallax Windows: Do you have a large building and want to show the interiors for realism, but don't want to model them one by one? Parallax Windows use an "optical trick" to create the illusion of depth and rooms inside, simply by placing a texture on the exterior surface.
It's an incredibly realistic effect with a very low impact on performance!

  • Artistic Fog with a Click: Want a touch of atmosphere or drama? The new Animated Fog Cards allow you to place fog exactly where you want it with a simple drag-and-drop, even controlling its reaction to the wind.

  • Artistic Renders: Photorealism is not always the goal.
If you are in a review phase or want to give an artistic style (like pen sketches or painterly effects), the post-processing system has been enhanced to offer you maximum flexibility.

Animation and Effortless Teamwork

The daily workflow has also been optimized to make it faster:

  • Exploded Views with a Click: A new tool called Exploder Animator allows you to easily create "exploded view" animations (where components separate in an orderly way), perfect for technical presentations or a WOW effect.

  • Camera Synchronization: Anyone working with CAD/DCC software (like Archicad or Revit) and using the Direct Link will greatly appreciate this novelty: the Twinmotion camera position can now synchronize with that of your modeling software.
A huge convenience for those who constantly iterate on the design.

  • Materials Under Control: The materials panel has been reorganized to allow you to create folders, search for materials by name, and apply them faster.

Your Virtual Camera in Hand

A feature that everyone will love: support for the Virtual Camera (VCam).
By connecting Twinmotion to an app on Android or iOS, your phone or tablet becomes a virtual camera.
You can physically walk around the room (in the real world) and, by moving the device, freely explore the project in Twinmotion, experimenting with angles and capturing snapshots on the fly.
It is the most intuitive and immersive way to explore a design.

In summary: Twinmotion 2025.2 is more efficient.
With the integration of Nanite, managing complex models becomes a memory, and the new visual tools will save you hours of work.
If you haven't tried it yet, it's time to check out the update and see how much faster and more freely you can bring your virtual worlds to life!
